The text was written by Danah Boyd in 2007. It is about the social networks of young people in the USA. Danah Boyd examines the impact of social networking on young people and raises various arguments about interaction on social networks. She also explores insights into identity formation as well as the negotiation of status and peer-to-peer sociality. For this she used the method «participant observation».
